Manchester United are ‘ready’ to battle and join the bidding war for the signing of Borussia Dortmund star Jude Bellingham, according to The Telegraph (Subscription Required).

Premier League rivals Manchester City and Liverpool are strongly in the race for the 19-year-old. Chelsea are also in the running, but realise they are not the favourites. European giants Real Madrid are also interested in the signature of the midfielder.

Erik ten Hag’s team are genuinely eyeing the England international’s services. However, it remains to be seen how much money the Dutch manager will be allowed to spend next summer.

Edin Terzic’s team have set a minimum amount of £110 million to part ways with the youngster. That would make it a record fee for a British player.

BVB are looking to keep Bellingham for at least another season. To that end, the Bundesliga giants have held discussions regarding the youngster’s future and a decision is expected to be made in the next few weeks, with ‘everything open’.

The 19-year-old has grown from strength to strength over the years. Having signed for Dortmund in the summer of 2020, the midfielder has been a key player for them since then.

In the current campaign, the England international has also been handed the captain’s armband on a few occasions by Terzic. He also established himself as a starter for the Three Lions in the 2022 World Cup.

Ten Hag likes Bellingham a lot. The gaffer sees him as a generational talent and believes the youngster has the ability to become the future captain of United.

This season, the Dutch manager has preferred the pairing of Casemiro and Christian Eriksen in the middle of the park. Hopefully, the Red Devils will be able to pull off a coup and add Bellingham to their ranks in the coming future.
