Erik ten Hag sends message to Jadon Sancho after match-winning performance against Leeds United
Speaking in the post-match presser as quoted by Manchester Evening News, Erik ten Hag, manager of Manchester United, has sent a message to Jadon Sancho after the young star’s match-winning performance against Leeds United.
Sancho was the reason Man United pulled level against Leeds after being 2-0 down in the game. The talented youngster scored the second goal for the Red Devils after Marcus Rashford scored the first goal for the team.
Ten Hag expressed his happiness at the direction that Sancho is heading in, and hopes that he can continue to maintain this momentum. The manager believes that if Sancho continues to invest and maintain the right level of focus and dedication, he has the potential to perform at an outstanding level.
Ten Hag spoke highly of Sancho’s skills as a footballer, praising his ability to make a difference on the pitch. The manager noted that Sancho is able to play in tight spaces and can create opportunities for himself and his teammates.
Sancho has a unique ability to beat defenders with his dribbling skills and his vision on the pitch is rather good. His speed and agility allow him to cause problems for even the toughest defences, and his clinical finishing was what earned him the move to Man United.
However, since he came here, Sancho has not managed to recapture the same kind of form that made him one of the best young footballers in the Bundesliga. The player took a break from the game to reset his head and is just back on the pitch.
Speaking about the performance of the come-back man, here is what Erik ten Hag had to say about Sancho.
“I hope he can keep this momentum going and I’m sure it will strengthen him and motivate him to do even more”
“As you see, he’s a brilliant footballer and if he invests and he is in the right levels he can perform outstandingly. I think we now have a team who can dictate games, who play more in an opponent’s half; he likes that. He can play in tight areas and he can make a difference. That second goal shows it but when he came on last week we saw it as well”
With Sancho’s ability to create opportunities and score goals, Manchester United are becoming a more dangerous side that is able to threaten their opponents in a variety of ways. Erik ten Hag will be hoping Sancho can continue the good form,
