Liverpool and Manchester United ‘intend to sign’ Eintracht Frankfurt forward Randal Kolo Muani next summer
Manchester United, along with Premier League rivals Liverpool, ‘intend to sign’ Eintracht Frankfurt star Randal Kolo Muani in the upcoming transfer window, according to L’Equipe (h/t Metro).
The Red Devils and Jurgen Klopp’s team have already begun working on a summer deal for the 24-year-old. While the two English top-flight giants did not invest heavily in January, they are expected to splash the cash after the end of the campaign.
Erik ten Hag, as well as the Merseysiders, are looking to bolster their forward line. As a result, the France international has caught both teams’ attention.
Kolo Muani has been in fine form this season. In 27 appearances in all competitions for Die Adler, the centre-forward has scored 12 goals and has provided 13 assists.
As a result, several top teams around Europe are looking to acquire the 24-year-old’s services. The French national is also keen on moving to the PL.
However, Frankfurt have upped their demand for Kolo Muani. The Bundesliga giants now want £89 million to part ways with the 2022 World Cup finalist.
Liverpool have struggled in the current campaign. New signing Darwin Nunez has failed to live up to expectations as of yet. Mohammed Salah has also struggled and has been inconsistent this season.
As for United, Anthony Martial and Wout Weghorst are the only two natural number nines at Ten Hag’s disposal. While the former AS Monaco star has been injury prone, the Holland international is on loan at the club until the end of the season.

Kolo Muani has come leaps and bounds this season with his performances. However, will the Red Devils place their bets on the French national by spending a massive amount on him? Only time will tell.
