Marcus Rashford, Diogo Dalot and David de Gea contract renewals a priority for Manchester United
Manchester United are set to prioritise the contract renewals of Marcus Rashford, Diogo Dalot and David de Gea in the coming months after the January transfer window.
The Red Devils signed Jack Butland, Wout Weghorst and Marcel Sabitzer on loan last month to bolster the squad. Now, the Old Trafford side will turn their attention to securing the futures of those whose deals are running out.
United opted to trigger the extension in the contracts of Rashford, Dalot and others earlier this season. The forward and defender are now tied down until the summer of 2024.

In the current campaign, the Red Devils’ academy graduate has been a pivotal player for Erik ten Hag. The 25-year-old is our leading goalscorer in the current campaign and has shouldered the burden of our attack.
As for the former FC Porto star, he has been the Dutch manager’s first choice at right-back. The Portugal international has cemented his place in the starting lineup with impressive displays.
However, the Old Trafford side did not exercise the one-year option for De Gea. The Spain international will be a free agent at the end of the season. However, the 32-year-old is keen on staying in Manchester.

Speaking to GiveMeSport, Italian journalist Rudy Galetti confirmed United’s intentions of keeping a hold of Rashford, Dalot and De Gea.
“I think that the priority for Manchester United is to manage the contract renewals of Rashford, de Gea and Dalot.”
The trio have been pivotal for Ten Hag in his first campaign in the Old Trafford side’s dugout. The Dutch manager has a chance to end our trophy drought, having reached the Carabao Cup final.
