Youssoufa Moukoko ‘set to renew’ Borussia Dortmund contract amidst interest from Manchester United
Borussia Dortmund star Youssoufa Moukoko is ‘set to renew’ his contract with the Bundesliga giants amidst interest from Manchester United, according to German outlet BILD (h/t Manchester Evening News).
The 18-year-old’s existing deal at BVB expires at the end of the season. As a result, along with the Red Devils, Premier League rivals Chelsea and Liverpool, and Spanish giants Barcelona were eyeing his signature in the ongoing transfer window.
However, it looks like the Germany international is going to remain at the Signal Iduna Park side for the foreseeable future. The youngster has extended his contract until the summer of 2026, with the forward set to earn €6 million a year.

Moukoko has made his way through the youth ranks at Dortmund. He was one of the most exciting talents in the German outfits youth setup.
The 18-year-old has been in and around the Bundesliga giants’ senior squad for some time now. However, in the current campaign, he has become a regular member of the first team.
This season, the Germany international has played a big role in Edin Terzic’s team. In 22 appearances in all competitions, he has found the back of the net six times and has provided six assists.
Moukoko’s form also led to his inclusion in Hansi Flick’s squad for the 2022 World Cup. The 18-year-old only played the final few minutes of Die Mannschaft’s opening group stage game against Japan. However, they were unable to make it to the knockout rounds.
United’s forward line evidently needs fresh legs in the coming months. We lost Cristiano Ronaldo in November and have now brought Wout Weghorst on loan for the rest of the campaign as a short-term replacement.
