Manchester United ‘intent’ on signing Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic in January
Manchester United are ‘intent’ on signing Juventus star Dusan Vlahovic ahead of the ongoing transfer window concluding, according to Italian newspaper Corriere Torino via The Faithful MUFC (h/t Manchester Evening News).
The Red Devils are still looking to add reinforcements to their frontline in January. We have already acquired the services of Wout Weghorst on loan for the rest of the season.
However, a move for the Serie A outfit’s striker looks unlikely at the moment. The Old Lady would want around €90 million to part ways with the Serbia international this month.
Juventus signed the 22-year-old in the winter window of 2022 from Fiorentina. He has had a mixed time in Turin since then.
In 15 appearances in all competitions in the current campaign, Vlahovic has found the back of the net seven times and has provided two assists. But Massimiliano Allegri’s team have not been at their best.
The Old Lady have been robust in recent weeks and have gotten some positive results with their impressive defensive displays. They are currently third in the Serie A table. However, the Italian giants recently lost 5-1 to table-toppers Napoli.
United lost depth in the striker position with the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo. However, we have bolstered the front line with the arrival of Weghorst. However, the Holland international does not look like a long-term solution for our attack.
In the current campaign, Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford have been heavily relied on by Erik ten Hag to play up top. Thankfully, the England international has stepped up to the plate and is currently the Red Devils’ leading goalscorer this season.

But the Old Trafford side could evidently do with a quality, out-and-out striker in the team. It is encouraging to see the club being linked to Vlahovic. However, will we be able to get his signature this month? Only time will tell.
