Bruno Fernandes reveals the most significant change in Manchester United in recent times
Speaking in an interview with BT as quoted by popular Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Bruno Fernandes has revealed the most significant change that Manchester United have undergone in recent times.
The Red Devils are on an excellent run of wins and look like a top team. All the cogs in the team are functioning exceptionally well and it finally looks like Erik ten Hag’s project is really coming together at Old Trafford.
Players like Marcus Rashford are really stepping up. The English international has had sensational returns at club level since football resumed and it seems like no team is able to stop the talented Englishman.
Last night’s performance against Manchester City in the Premier League was a vindication of how far they have come as a team. Instead of getting overplayed by Pep Guardiola’s team, Man United managed to secure a comeback 2-1 win.
It was a performance that would have made people sit up and take notice of what the former Ajax manager is building at Ajax. He seems to really have a strong command over the team and the players seem to love to play for the manager.
Speaking about what has changed since before and why Man United are working far better now, here is what last night’s goal scorer Bruno Fernandes had to say.
“We used to be individuals… now we are a team, you can see a proper team that works for each other”
This has undoubtedly been the biggest thing about Erik ten Hag’s Man United. The players are no longer playing for themselves and every single one of them seems to be playing the way the Dutchman wants the team to.
This is particularly evident in the times where a fringe player who comes into the starting XI plays exactly the same way as the player he has replaced. It shows that Man United have finally started working with a system.
