Scott McTominay ‘not for sale’ as Manchester United take stance amidst interest
Manchester United have set their stance and have decided that Scott McTominay is ‘not for sale’ in the ongoing transfer window, according to 90min (h/t Manchester Evening News).
The 26-year-old has been linked with a move away from the Old Trafford side in recent weeks. Newcastle United are eyeing the Scotland international’s signature.
However, the Old Trafford side are not keen on parting ways with the midfielder. The club have no intention of offloading him in January.

McTominay is a homegrown talent who has made his way through the youth ranks at United. The midfielder broke into the Red Devils’ senior side in the 2017/18 campaign. Subsequently, in the 2019/20 season, he became a regular in the starting lineup.
Since then, the Scotland international has been a key player at the Old Trafford side. However, in this term, the academy graduate has seen his opportunities reduce.
United signed Casemiro in the summer of 2022. Initially, the 26-year-old kept the Brazilian out of Erik ten Hag’s plans with his form. However, the five-time Champions League winner has quickly cemented his place in the team.

Since the 30-year-old’s first Premier League start against Everton, he has not looked back. The former Real Madrid star has not looked back since then, making us defensively resilient and helping in our build-up play.
McTominay has not featured in our last three league matches. Alongside Casemiro, Christian Eriksen has become a key player for the Dutch manager in the middle of the park.

The 26-year-old will evidently not want regular game time at the club. However, at the moment, that seems a bit challenging. Therefore, it would be understandable if the Scotland international decided to end his time in Manchester in the coming transfer window.
