Inter Milan ‘willing to consider’ January exit for Denzel Dumfries amidst Manchester United links
Serie A giants Inter Milan are ‘willing to consider’ parting ways with Denzel Dumfries in the ongoing transfer window amidst links to Manchester United, according to Gazzetta dello Sport via Sport Witness (h/t Manchester Evening News).
However, the Nerazzurri will only let the Holland international leave if the right offer comes around. The Italian outfit value the 26-year-old at around £53 million.
While Inter would prefer to sell Dumfries next summer, a suitable price could entice the Serie A giants to cash in on him in January. The Red Devils are eyeing the full-back to add competition to their defence.
But Chelsea are also in the running for the Holland international. While the Old Trafford side are only looking at bringing players on loan this month, the Blues are not shy about launching an offer.
Graham Potter’s team currently possess one of the best right-backs in the world—Reece James. However, injuries have troubled the 23-year-old over the years. Cesar Azpilicueta is at the Stamford Bridge side’s disposal, but the Spaniard is in the final stretch of his career.
Dumfries signed for Inter in the summer of 2021 from PSV Eindhoven. Since then, he has been a key player for Simone Inzaghi in Milan. The Italian outfit were able to pip Barcelona to qualify for the knockout rounds in the Champions League this season.
