The agent of Dusan Vlahovic terms Juventus exit ‘not impossible’ amidst Manchester United interest
The agent of Dusan Vlahovic has revealed that while a January transfer from Juventus for his client is ‘unlikely’, it is ‘not impossible’ amidst interest from Manchester United, according to Il Corriere Dello Sport (h/t Manchester Evening News).
The Red Devils are targeting the signature of the 22-year-old. Premier League rivals Arsenal and Chelsea are also looking to bring the striker to England.
Vlahovic joined the Bianconeri in the winter window of 2022 from Fiorentina. Since then, he has run hot and cold for the Allianz Stadium side. This term, the centre-forward has found the back of the net seven times in 15 appearances in all competitions.
The Serbia international also featured for his national side at the 2022 World Cup. The striker scored a goal in the last group-stage match for the Eagles. However, they were unable to qualify for the knockout rounds.
The Gunners are currently leading the English top flight. They are five points ahead of reigning champions Manchester City. However, currently, they only have Eddie Nketiah available to play in the number nine position.
On the other hand, Graham Potter’s team have struggled to find the back of the net this season. The Blues have scored 17 goals in 14 matches they have played in the league in the current campaign.
As for United, we also seemingly have issues in the attack. At the moment, Marcus Rashford is leading the goalscoring charts for the Red Devils this season. However, the 25-year-old leaves a lot to be desired with his finishing.
On top of that, Cristiano Ronaldo recently departed the club. The 37-year-old’s untimely exit has left the Old Trafford side with just one natural striker in Anthony Martial.
