Chelsea approached representatives of Manchester United youngster Alejandro Garnacho for a transfer
Premier League rivals Chelsea have approached the representative of Manchester United star Alejandro Garnacho in an attempt to take the youngster to West London, according to transfer expert Simon Phillips (h/t Express).
The Blues are interested in taking the 18-year-old to the Stamford Bridge side. Currently, the Argentine’s contract expires at the end of the season. However, Graham Potter’s team were informed that he was keen on putting pen to paper on a new deal at the Old Trafford side.
But if Granacho were to leave the Red Devils, he would not opt for a move to Chelsea. The youngster will opt to play outside England.

The 28-year-old signed for United in the summer of 2020 from Atletico Madrid. Since then, the forward has spent most of his time with the Red Devils’ youth sides.
However, in the current campaign, Garnacho has been handed a lot of opportunities in the first team. Initially, Erik ten Hag did not give him a lot of game time. But in the last few fixtures, the youngster’s influence in the team has grown.
The 18-year-old has put in some pivotal performances for the Old Trafford side this season. He was handed his first start for the Manchester-based club against Sheriff Tiraspol in the Europa League group stage match.
Subsequently, the forward scored his first goal for United against Real Sociedad in the final game of Group F in the UEL this term. We ended up winning the fixture 1-0.
Garnacho came in clutch against Aston Villa in the third round of the Carabao Cup. He came on as a substitute and provided two assists as the Red Devils won 4-2 against Unai Emery’s team. The Argentine also scored in stoppage time against Fulham as the Old Trafford side got a 2-1 victory.
