Brazil midfielder Casemiro has been “surprised” the most by the support of the fanbase at Manchester United
Manchester United and Brazil star Casemiro has been “surprised” the most by the determination of supporters at the club. The midfielder has been taken aback by the passion of the fanbase.
The 30-year-old signed for the Red Devils in the summer of 2022 from Real Madrid. He had already played for one of the biggest clubs in the world and won several titles with Los Blancos. However, the atmosphere at the Manchester-based club is still staggering for the number 18.
Speaking to the club’s official website, Casemiro hailed the United fans for their backing. He was especially impressed with the away support as well.
“So it’s not just here at Old Trafford for the home games, but away from home too, wow, the fans are just incredible. The supporters, the atmosphere, the way the fans get behind us, just fantastic, and one of the things that has surprised me the most since coming to England.”
The 30-year-old joined the Red Devils, having won five Champions League medals with Madrid. He also won three La Liga titles and other competitions with Los Blancos.
Having signed the Brazilian in the recent transfer window, he initially found it hard under Erik ten Hag. Scott McTominay was performing admirably during the initial part of the season.
However, Casemiro has quickly managed to convince the Dutch manager and fans of his qualities. Since the 30-year-old has been handed his first Premier League start, the difference in our performances has been apparent.
The midfielder also managed to score his first goal in a red shirt for the Old Trafford side in a crutch match against Chelsea in the English top flight. In stoppage time, the former Madrid star found the back of the net to give us a 1-1 draw.
Casemiro is currently with his national side Qatar. He scored a thunderous goal in a 1-0 win against Switzerland in the group stages to ensure qualification into the next round for the Canarinho.
