“Nothing decided” on the future of Palmeiras forward Endrick amidst Manchester United interest
Douglas, the father of Palmeiras forward Endrick, has revealed that no decision has been made on the future of the youngster who has garnered interest from Manchester United.
The Brazilian has been heavily linked with Spanish giants Real Madrid. However, it seems the opportunity still exists for other clubs to entice the 16-year-old.
Speaking to the media via Manchester Evening News, Endrick’s father disclosed that the youngster’s future is still open. In the coming months, they will decide on the best project for the forward and come to a conclusion.
“There’s nothing decided for Real Madrid or any other club. We’ve no preference yet. We’ll decide in the next months, the club that will pay what Palmeiras want and show us the best technical project for Endrick, will sign the boy.”
Endrick is one of the most exciting prospects in world football at the moment. He recently made history when he became the youngest-ever goalscorer for Palmeiras’ senior squad, finding the back of the net twice in a 3-1 win over Club Athletico Paranaense in the league.
The youngster has come up through the ranks with the Brazilian outfit. And he made his debut earlier this year for the first team, coming on as a substitute against Coritiba in the Brasileirao in a 4-0 win.
Endrick made his full debut against Fortaleza in the Brasileirao and played 75 minutes for Palmeiras. The 16-year-old scored once again for the Verdao.
United have a thriving academy. Marcus Rashford is currently the most notable youth team graduate playing for the senior side. The 25-year-old is the Red Devils’ top goalscorer in the current campaign.
Alejandro Garnacho has also broken into the first team after an impressive last season with the youth sides. The 18-year-old scored his first goal for the Old Trafford side against Real Sociedad in the Europa League.
