Gabby Agbonlahor tips Harry Kane to leave Tottenham Hotspur in 2023 for Manchester United
Former Aston Villa ace Gabby Agbonlahor has tipped Harry Kane to leave Tottenham Hotspur for Manchester United in 2023. The ex-forward feels the England international could be compelled to move to win silverware.
The 29-year-old has been one of the best players in the English top flight since his breakout season in 2014/15. However, trophies have eluded the forward during his time in North London.
Speaking to Football Insider (h/t Express), Agbonlahor, who spent 13 years on the books of the Villans, is of the opinion that Kane could get frustrated with his lack of achievement with Spurs. And he believes United are the perfect team for the England international.
“I actually do think that it might come to the stage at the end of the season if he hasn’t won anything that Harry Kane says ‘The joke’s over, I’m gone. I love the chance to get the goal record but the one I want is trophies’.
“He might even look to go somewhere in England, Man United would be the perfect team for Harry Kane to go and play in.”
The 29-year-old has gone from strength to strength over the years in North London. He has also been handed the captain’s armband for the Three Lions.
In England, the forward has amassed three Premier League Golden Boots. And he is not just a prolific goalscorer. The Tottenham star has developed his game over the years as a playmaker.
United evidently are in need of a number nine. Marcus Rashfrd has been deployed by Erik ten hag as the centre forward for the majority of the campaign.
The 25-year-old, who recently scored his 100th goal for the Red Devils, is the club’s top goalscorer this season. However, some fans feel the England international is not clinical enough in front of goal.
Anthony Martial, on the other hand, has been unavailable for most of the season. Cristiano Ronaldo has also fallen down the pecking order. The 37-year-old has only recently gotten consistent chances in the starting lineup. However, he has not been able to find the back of the net regularly.
