The Red Devils and the West Yorkshire side had an eye on the 23-year-old in the recent transfer window. However, the Holland international ended up staying in the Eredivisie.

Leeds were nearing an agreement for Gakpo with PSV. However, the 23-year-old is ‘not in favour’ of a move after his impressive start to the 2022/23 campaign. The forward is hoping for a ‘bigger’ move next year.

Last season, Gakpo put up impressive numbers in Holland. The 23-year-old featured 47 times for the Red and Whites in all competitions, scoring 21 goals and 15 assists.

Gakpo has continued his red-hot form in the current campaign. The Holland international has made 16 appearances for PSV, scoring 13 goals and providing 10 assists.

The 23-year-old has also established himself in the Holland national setup. For Louis van Gaal’s team in the recent international break, the forward was one of the best players on the pitch against Poland and Belgium.

Erik ten Hag signed a winger from the Eredivisie in the recent transfer window. The Dutch manager reunited with Antony in Manchester. And the 22-year-old has now scored consecutively in his first three Premier League appearances.

Other options in our frontline include Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial, Jadon Sancho and Cristiano Ronaldo. While the Portugal international’s future at Man United is seemingly uncertain, the French forward has struggled with injuries.
