Bruno Fernandes delighted to play alongside Christian Eriksen in the Manchester United midfield
Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes is delighted about playing alongside Christian Eriksen in the middle of the park. The 28-year-old has hailed the Denmark international’s abilities.
Eriksen signed for the Red Devils in the summer of 2022 as a free agent. And the 30-year-old has made an immediate impact in the side. The Danish national has been a constant in Erik ten Hag’s starting XI.
Speaking to the club’s official website (h/t Mirror), Fernandes expressed happiness at partnering up with Eriksen. The Portuguese feels the 30-year-old makes it easier for him in the engine room.
“It’s really good to play with Christian. He is a player who can find passes, that can find pockets and obviously make my game easier because he can find me when I move in between the lines. It’s something that is not easy to do.”
Eriksen had been out of action for a while after collapsing in the first game against Finland during the Euro 2020. The 30-year-old donned the pitch once again at the start of this year. The Danish national enjoyed a short spell with Brentford.
At United, Eriksen has quickly become a vital member of the side. The gaffer has started the Danish national on every game this season.
Eriksen played in the centre-forward role in the first competitive game against Brighton & Hove Albion. However, the 30-year-old seemed to struggle. Ten Hag then deployed the Danish national in the pivot position against Brentford. And the ex-Tottenham Hotspur star did not look comfortable.

Since then, the Dutch manager has played Eriksen in the box-to-box position. And the 30-year-old has thrived ever since.
Eriksen took his form into the international break as well. And the midfielder put on a show against Croatia and France in the UEFA Nations League.
United are set to face Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on 2 October. Fans will hope Eriksen continues in a similar vein against the champions and help continue the Red Devils’ fine run in the Premier League.
