Transfer News: Manchester United reject West Ham bid for Aaron Wan-Bissaka
According to TalkSPORT (h/t Manchester Evening News), Manchester United have rejected a bid from West Ham United for Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
Manager Erik ten Hag has apparently decided to keep the 24-year-old star in his team after not signing a right-back this summer. The Red Devils have been linked with the likes of Sergino Dest and Thomas Meunier in recent days.
However, it seems like they will not be signing anyone in that position. Dest, in fact, is set to leave Barcelona to join AC Milan on a loan deal, as per Fabrizio Romano.
Ten Hag, like Ralf Rangnick, has opted to give chances to Portuguese right-back Diogo Dalot. Ever since Wan-Bissaka joined us from Crystal Palace, his contribution in the final third of the pitch has been up for debate.
Smart move by Ten Hag?
However, it is wise of Ten Hag to keep him on board for another season especially if the club doesn’t strengthen the right-back area. Brandon Williams hasn’t really built on the promise he showed under Erik ten Hag.
And thus, we can expect to see the 24-year-old Wan-Bissaka get some minutes. He has gotten just four of those thus far, when he came on as a substitute in the 2-1 win against Liverpool at Old Trafford.
Now that his future is seemingly sorted at least until the transfer window, maybe the Dutch manager can begin to play him more. But then again, that is something only time will tell.

Manager David Moyes already has Vladimir Coufal and Ben Johnson to play at right-back. Hence, Wan-Bissaka wouldn’t have had it easy at the London Stadium either had he moved there this summer.
