Barcelona shortlist Manchester United duo Diogo Dalot and Aaron Wan-Bissaka
According to Gerard Romero via UtdDistrict on Twitter (h/t Manchester Evening News), Barcelona are keeping tabs on Manchester United defenders Diogo Dalot and Aaron Wan-Bissaka for the right-back spot.
The Catalans are seemingly interested in bolstering the right-hand side of their defensive line. And the two right-backs at Erik ten Hag’s disposal are being considered by the Blaugrana.
Dalot and Wan-Bissaka are the current first-team options in the Manchester-based club’s squad. The duo have shared game time over the years. But it looks like the Portuguese has got the better of the former Crystal Palace star currently.
Wan-Bisska made his way to Old Trafford after impressing at Selhurst Park. United signed the 24-year-old for big money from Palace. But it seems the England U21 international’s future in Manchester is uncertain.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer preferred Wan-Bissaka ahead of Dalot in his XI. But when the Norwegian parted ways with the club, things at the right-back spot changed for the club.
The Portuguese pipped the Englishman for a starting berth under Ralf Rangnick. Dalot started most games under the German. And Ten Hag has continued to put faith in the 23-year-old.
United fans weren’t convinced of Wan-Bissaka’s qualities. While his defensive qualities are appreciated, fans feel the 24-year-old falls short in the attacking third.
Dalot isn’t someone the Manchester-based club’s supporters are enthusiastic about either. The Portuguese is decent going forward, but the 23-year-old’s defending leaves a lot to be desired.

It remains to be seen who Barcelona go after and whether they’re able to get Dalot or Wan-Bissaka this summer. The duo haven’t been the best in their time at Manchester. After the losses against Brighton & Hove Albion and Brentford, fans feel the side could do with more quality in the right-back spot.
