Manchester United have made a concrete offer for Benjamin Sesko
According to journalist Rok Viskovic of Sport Klub (h/t Express), Manchester United have made an offer for RB Salzburg centre-forward Benjamin Sesko. Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain are also in the fray for the 19-year-old.
The Red Devils have been following Sesko for a while now. The Slovenian has attracted the attention of a number of big European clubs. It remains to be seen what the Austrian Champions decide to do with the offers.
Man United have a lot of considerations to take into account going into the 2022/23 season. Before Erik ten Hag’s arrival this summer, our attack flattered to deceive with Cristiano Ronaldo the odd man out.
In the 2021/22 campaign, our attack line failed to provide an impetus to put the ball in the back of the net. Ronaldo had to lead United’s forward line on his own and was unsurprisingly our standout player.
The Portuguese legend ended the campaign as our highest goalscorer. Alongside David de Gea, he stood out in a squad that lacked consistency and killing instinct.
But now, uncertainty surrounds Ronaldo’s future. It remains to be seen whether we lose him this summer. Should that come to pass, we will face an uphill battle to replace his goals.
The supporting cast alongside the 37-year-old weren/t productive enough. Our other forwards didn’t score enough or create many chances. Although, under Ten Hag, pre-season has looked promising.
Anthony Martial has especially impressed people with his displays in the friendlies. The Frenchman has regained his confidence, it seems. But he’s been sidelined for the opening game of the season against Brighton.

Injuries are a big part of the game and we don’t have many options on the bench to play up top. Sesko’s addition would be wise if Man United manage to get it over the line. Hopefully, Manchester is an alluring destination for the Slovenian this summer.
