Manchester United and Adidas unveil new away kit for the upcoming season
Manchester United have launched their new away kit for the 2022/23 season. The Red Devils in collaboration with Adidas, lit up the preseason tour with a big surprise for the fans, as they revealed the new white jersey.
Melbourne’s Federation Square hosted the event as the club visited the Australian city for the first time since 1999. The event was hosted by club legends Andy Cole and Bryan Robson in a packed stadium.
The new away kit is a glorious white jersey with classic Adidas stripes on the shoulders and a V-neck collar to finish it off. It takes its inspiration from the classic legendary away kit worn during the 1990s.
The fans would be able to witness the players dawn the jersey on the 19th of July against Crystal Palace. The helical pattern of the shirt’s fabric represents the three pillars of Manchester United’s DNA- youth, courage, and success.
Speaking to MUTV, United defender Luke Shaw introduced the kit by saying:
“It is exciting to launch the new away kit in Australia, featuring a design which draws on the rich history of our club and jersey. The 22/23 away jersey captures the magic of Old Trafford in a new design, paying homage to some of the club’s most legendary kits and players.”
It is the first time since the year 2015/16 that the club’s away kit has not featured the salmon, gold, and blue colours on its away jersey. Just like the home kit they have decided to incorporate the club crest within a shield resembling the iconic kits of the past.
The fans would be able to get their hands on the new away kit through Adidas and United Direct. It is available in different sizes for men, women, and juniors. Fans can purchase both, authentic and replica models of the new away kit.

Hopefully, the fans see us get some memorable results away from home in these new colours. Man United’s first two away PL games are against Brentford and Southampton and perhaps we could see this kit in action for the first time in a competitive match in either or both of those two fixtures.
