Transfer News: Manchester United hope to close the Christian Eriksen deal by this week
According to @TelegraphDucker (via United Update) [h/t Manchester Evening News], Manchester United are hoping to complete the signing of talented Danish playmaker Christian Eriksen by this week.
That Manchester United are interested in signing the Danish superstar is no secret now with the Red Devils said to have already reached an agreement with the 30-year-old over a move to Old Trafford for next season.
It is now being said that the Red Devils want to complete the signing of the Dane by the end of this week. This will help them involve him in their pre-season plans and get him acclimated to the new team very soon.
The comeback of Christian Eriksen is one of the most heartwarming stories in footballing history. Not many people expected the Dane to play football ever again when he suffered the unfortunate cardiac arrest in Euros last year.
In what was an extremely scary incident even for the people who were watching the game, the person who came out strongest from the incident and beyond was none other than the person who went through it – Christian Eriksen.
The 30-year-old has to leave Inter Milan by mutual agreement since rules in the Serie A meant he could not play in that league anymore. He had to look for a new home and Brentford offered him the perfect opportunity.
On his return to English football, Eriksen mesmerised one and all with his performances and reminded everyone of what he is capable of. He was influential for Brentford in the second half of the season and really made a difference.
Manchester United could be the perfect destination for Christian Eriksen. He wants to play at the top level again and he could be the man to lead the Red Devils into the Ten Hag era. At 30, the Dane still has a few good years left.
