Transfer News: Manchester United need to make Facundo Pellistri decision
Manchester United and Erik ten Hag need to make a decision on the future of talented Uruguayan winger Facundo Pellistri with many English clubs said to be interested in signing the starlet on loan.
Speaking in an interview with Grand Hotel Calciomercato as quoted by Express, the agent of Pellistri, Agustin Alvarez confirmed that the Uruguayan will do a pre-season with Man United before making a decision on his future.
“Pellistri has a contract until 2026. He will make the pre-season retreat with Manchester United and will take part in the tour in Asia”
“Erik ten Hag will decide if he will stay or be loaned out. In the latter case we have several possibilities between England, Italy and Portugal thanks also to the performance we had with the national team.”
The Uruguayan international has been making all the right noises for the national team in the recent past and many clubs have started taking notice of him. He has represented his country six times and the number is only likely to keep increasing.
The same cannot be said about his club career though with the Uruguayan struggling to replicate the same kind of form he shows with the national team. The talented Manchester United starlet was loaned out to Deportivo Alaves for 18 months.
Although Pellistri failed to score or assist for the struggling La Liga club this season in 23 matches across all competitions, the game time and experience that he has earned playing in the Spanish League will hold him in good stead.
Anyone who has seen the 20-year-old sensation play can see that the Uruguayan has all the talent and ability required to make it big at a top club like Man United and the only question is if it is now or in the future.
Pellistri represents a young exciting crop of wingers coming through at Old Trafford and along with Alejandro Garnacho and Amad Diallo, the trio are likely to be the future superstars of Manchester United.

If the Man United wonderkid manages to convince Erik ten Hag with his performances in pre-season and manages to nail a spot in the first-team squad next season, he could follow the footsteps of Anthony Elanga in the first-team next season.
If however, ten Hag decides that Pellistri is not ready for the first team, he can always be loaned out to get him some valuable game time and be considered a huge prospect for the future.
