Manchester United star Aaron Wan-Bissaka tipped to return to Crystal Palace on loan

According to UtdPlug (h/t Manchester Evening News), Manchester United right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka is tipped to return to Crystal Palace on loan this summer.

The English international joined the Red Devils from Crystal Palace in 2019. Whilst he had a great start to his career in a Man Utd shirt, things have started taking a turn for the worse, especially in the last season.

The 24-year-old played 26 games for Utd this season failing to score or assist even a single goal across all competitions. He eventually lost his place in the team to Diogo Dalot, with the Portuguese doing a better job than Wan-Bissaka.

The English defender apparently does not have a place in United’s first team next season and is widely tipped with a move away this summer with his former club emerging as a potential destination at least on loan.

Closing the door?

Whilst Wan-Bissaka is certainly good defensively, the same cannot be said about the former Eagles man going forward.

The English international to be fair had his share of moments in a Red Devils shirt but he does not seem to be the man to do the job this summer. Ten Hag is likely to want to sign a new player to replace the outgoing player.

In Diogo Dalot, United have a solid option to play in the right-back role. The Portuguese defender offers a lot going forward and can be equally adept defensively but he cannot be our only option going into next summer.

The Dutch tactician will want to bring in someone who settles into his style of play and can offer a lot going forward. He will undoubtedly have options in his mind for the same and it remains to be seen who United decide to sign if Wan-Bissaka leaves.

A huge summer awaits the Red Devils. Moving Aaron Wan-Bissaka is a good choice for the English club but they need to make sure they get a quality replacement.
