Transfer News: Manchester United target Paulo Dybala rejects Newcastle United offer
According to the Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport via HITC (h/t ChronicleLive), Paulo Dybala, who is a target for Manchester United, has rejected an offer from Newcastle United for a potential transfer. The latter is among the clubs who have seen their proposals get turned down by the attacker.
Dybala is set to leave Juventus as he will become a free agent this summer. That has resulted in a host of clubs circling for his services, leading to a battle at this point. However, he has trimmed down the competition by refuting deals from three clubs. Newcastle are among them, which would be a boost for Man United, who are interested in signing him.
Sevilla and Borussia Dortmund are the remaining two clubs who have been rejected by the Argentine forward ahead of the next season. He is currently assessing the options that lay ahead of him, with Arsenal being another potential destination for Dybala in the Premier League.
Would Dybala join Man Utd?
There is a lot of uncertainty surrounding our right-wing position in the frontline going into the next campaign. After all, we lack a dependable starter who can deliver the goods in that role. Marcus Rashford and Anthony Elanga have been tried there, but have failed to put our minds at ease.
Jadon Sancho, meanwhile, has been shifted to the left-wing as his best performances have come from that position. Mason Greenwood is suspended indefinitely, which leaves a hole in the attack that must be plugged ahead of the next term.
Dybala, who can play several roles in the attack, would be perfect for us in this situation. His ability to cut in from the right to shoot on goal or thread through balls makes him particularly suited to that role. Furthermore, it would also help Diogo Dalot stick to his strengths by bombing up the right-hand side and overlapping while the attacker drifts into the centre.

As such, we would be delighted to see that Dybala has turned down clubs like the Magpies leaving us with few obstacles to overcome. The Gunners are one of the problems, although their failure to qualify for the Champions League could level the playing field for us.
However, the biggest concern seemingly lies with the 28-year-old’s intention to remain in Serie A beyond this summer. With Inter Milan providing him with an option to stay in Italy moving forward, Erik ten Hag’s side would need to raise their efforts if there are active plans to add Dybala to their ranks.
