Manchester United ace Cristiano Ronaldo issues rallying cry to others teams after Tottenham Hotspur win

Taking to his Instagram account, Manchester United ace Cristiano Ronaldo issued a rallying battle cry to other teams after his side’s 3-2 win over Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday, saying that they could beat any team in the world.

The forward scored a brilliant hat-trick to hand his side all three points at home, and also put to rest concerns about his recent form after going through a mini goal drought this year. It also marked his first hat-trick since returning to United after leaving in 2009 for Real Madrid.

Ronaldo wrote that he was buzzing to be back on the pitch and helping his side with his goals. He was replaced later on in the match by Victor Lindelof as the team looked to close down the game and shore up the backline.

“Tremendously happy with my first hat-trick since I came back to Old Trafford. Nothing beats the feeling of being back on the pitch and help the team with goals and effort.”

The Portugal skipper had missed the previous game against Manchester City through injury, and his first game back in action proved to be a blockbuster return to the pitch. The win also helped the Red Devils pick up more points in the league as they aim to finish in fourth place by the end of the season.

“No limits for Man Utd”

With Spurs also fighting for a top-four spot by the summer to ensure a place in the Champions League next term, Ronaldo made sure his team did not suffer any setbacks as he fired them to a good win over a team that had won their previous two Premier League fixtures.

Not just Tottenham, the former Real Madrid man said that his side has proven that they can beat any team in the world as long as the hard work continues and they stand together, with there being no limits for this Man United team.

“We’ve proven once again that we can beat any team in any given day, as long as we work hard and stand together as one. There are no limits for Man United! No matter what! Let’s go, Devils!”

Ronaldo returned to Manchester for a second spell with the club last summer, having turned out for Real Madrid and Juventus in the past few years. The player picked up where he left off at United, hitting the ground running and scoring a brace on his home debut.

After a stellar first half of the campaign, the player dropped off in form from the turn of the new year. He looked woefully out of touch and frustrated on the football pitch, unable to convert chances and add to his incredible tally.

However, all these concerns were put to rest after he came back strong against Spurs over the weekend, rolling back the years to score what was only his second United hat-trick. He had also scored against the Lilywhites in the previous fixture in north London, as the Red Devils ran out 3-0 winners.

Up next presents a real test, facing off against Atletico Madrid in the return leg of the Round of 16 tie of the Champions League. Having claimed to beat any team on any given day, all eyes will be on Ronaldo to see if he can back up his statement against Diego Simeone’s men tomorrow night.
