Agent reveals Lautaro Martinez is happy at Inter amidst links to Manchester United and Barcelona
Alejandro Camano, the agent of Lautaro Martinez, has explained his client’s current situation in Italy amid links to Manchester United and Barcelona for a future transfer. The centre-forward has had a solid season so far, although his form in recent times has blown hot and cold.
The Inter Milan striker has been linked with a move to several major European clubs over the past few weeks. Man United and Barca are among them, with Liverpool and Arsenal also keen on the marauding South American striker. His agent has now addressed the player’s situation in Milan.
Speaking in an interview with FCInternews.it (h/t Manchester Evening News), Camano has expressed that the 24-year-old striker’s mind is set fully on Inter at the moment while mentioning that he is “happy” with life at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium.
“Lautaro doesn’t think about himself, he only thinks about Inter. He wants to help and wants fans to be happy. Lautaro wants Inter to win, he is not interested in personal success. We must remain calm because Lautaro is happy at Inter and is happy with Inter fans.”
No chance for Man Utd?
This certainly comes as a blow for United if our apparent interest in the player was strong. The Nerazzurri are in a financially stricken situation at the moment and it remains to be seen how that affects their stance regarding some of their star players.
Considering the situation in our attack at the moment, fans would certainly want the Red Devils to continue in their pursuit for the Inter striker’s signature. He would, after all, make for a solid addition to our frontline.
Edinson Cavani will become a free agent in the summer transfer window, and an extension does not seem to be in the world right now. Cristiano Ronaldo does not have many years left in his playing career, and we need someone to spearhead our project for the future.
Marcus Rashford can be argued as one option, but he has been poor this season, having failed to replicate his form from last term. Mason Greenwood’s indefinite suspension has also opened up a gaping void in this team’s attack.

As such, there are more than enough reasons for us to pursue the Argentine superstar in the coming transfer window. Having scored 12 goals alongside two assists in 24 Serie A matches this campaign, he certainly knows where the back of the net is. Whether a move will happen or not this summer, especially after Martinez’s agent’s comments, remains to be seen.
