Paris Saint-Germain and Tottenham are ahead of Manchester United in the race for Frank Kessie
According to Italian journalist Rudy Galetti, Manchester United are ‘moving decisively’ to secure the signature of AC Milan star Frank Kessie. The Red Devils are, however, behind Paris Saint-Germain and Tottenham Hotspur in the race.
In recent seasons, the Ivory Coast international has been a stand-out performer for the Rossoneri. The reliability and consistent performance that he guarantees has been a massive advantage for the Italian giants. The Ivorian international has bagged three goals in 14 Serie A appearances this season.
Manchester United have been linked with Kessie in recent times. It seems the Red Devils are set to push decisively to secure the central midfielder’s signature. However, it is believed that PSG and Spurs are already ‘one step ahead’ to land the Mian star.
Manchester United currency have several concerns regarding the future of the key midfielders. Paul Pogba’s United future is uncertain. The French superstar hasn’t penned down a renewal deal, and there’s a possibility he could leave in the summer.
On the other hand, Jesse Lingard hasn’t shown a total commitment to a future at Old Trafford. Newcastle has been heavily linked with the English player, and his exit seems more probable currently.
Donny van de Beek’s United future has been nothing short of miserable. The Dutch midfielder spent most of his Red Dls carer on the bench under axed manager Ole Gunnar Solskjær. Even after the arrival of Ralf Rangnick, the situation hasn’t changed. His long term future at OldTrafford doesn’t seem promising.
In such a scenario, a Midfield reinforcement becomes necessary for Red Devils. Rangnick is betting on Fred and Bruno Fernandes in the meantime. But without proper depth, he will struggle to cope fighting on multiple fronts.

In addition to that, Kessie has proved successful in initiating a move in the critical region and running it. Therefore, he could provide a significant advantage to United forwards to play freely in the attacking areas.
