Manchester United currently the only team intending to go all the way for Erling Haaland
According to SportBild (h/t Sport Witness), Manchester United are currently the only team that are showing a profound interest in Borussia Dortmund sensation, Erling Haaland. The Red Devils are apparently the ‘only serious bidder’ in the race to sign the striker.
Erling Haaland has remained one of the most lethal strikers of the world at the current time. Even though his recent injury prevented him from building on his astronomical numbers, the Norwegian has been directly involved in a goal in most of his matches this season. The 21-year-old has bagged 19 goals and five assists in 15 appearances for Dortmund. However, his future at BVB is in significant doubt.
Haaland’s agent Mino Raiola has fueled the transfer market with recent comments. The super-agent previously named Manchester City, Real Madrid, Barcelona or Bayern Munich as the possible destination for his client. Raiola also added Atlético Madrid, Chelsea and Liverpool’s names to the mix.
The former Molde man has a release clause of €75m in his contract, which could come into play the following summer. The excessive interest and rumpus have only decreased the chances for the German team to hold him off.
Manchester United have been linked with the starlet in recent times. Even though Raiola didn’t take the name of the Red Devils when mentioning the possible destinations, it is believed that Ralf Rangnick’s team are now the ‘only serious bidder’ for Haaland.
However, it seems the Red Devils’ chances to land the Norwegian depends on their UCL qualification for the next season.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s individual brilliance is currently helping the Red Devils win many games. However, the other forwards have gone quiet in the last few weeks. The Portuguese superstar is also 36 years old and with the increasing age comes long-term performance concerns.
Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford have failed to give goals and assist consistently this season. In contrast, some youngsters like Mason Greenwood and Anthony Elanga have flourished recently. But they require further grooming to reach a level where they can lead our line regularly.

In such a case, the signature of a goal-hungry striker becomes essential for the Red Devils, and currently, there are very few youngsters who could be better than Haaland for the position. He is a man that can bring trophies to a club all by himself with his goals. This is one transfer worth breaking our bank for.
