Teden Mengi names the three Manchester United stars who stand out as leaders

Speaking to YouTube channel UMM (h/t The Mirror), Manchester United wonderkid Teden Mengi has named the three stars that he believes stand out as leaders in the club’s Whatsapp group.

The Red Devils squad have displayed a close bond of late. This has seen them build together a title challenge while also stay alive in the FA Cup and the Europa League.

Currently on loan at Derby County, 18-year-old Mengi has high hopes of making it at United in the years to come. The youngster made his first-team bow against LASK in last season’s Europa League.

Manchester United starlet Teden Mengi has name dropped the three leaders in the players’ Whatsapp group

A member of the club’s players’ Whatsapp group, Mengi believes the trio of Bruno Fernandes, Harry Maguire and Paul Pogba are the most vocal online.

“There are a lot of leaders. Harry [Maguire] is one. Bruno [Fernandes], Paul [Pogba].”

Mengi revealed that the talk in the group is strictly limited to football and the United trio take the lead when it comes to talks. Given the influence all three of them have had on the team, it comes as no surprise.

“They’re not chatting off. Because in that squad WhatsApp it’s like all to do with football, so they’re the vocal ones about that side.”

While Mengi did not make an appearance for Untied this season, he was on the bench for our Carabao Cup fixtures against Luton Town and Brighton.

The youngster describes his United debut as a dream come true and hopes to do well in the coming years. Hopefully, his time at Derby County will see him return to United as a better player.
