Manchester United star Paul Pogba is ‘highly unlikely’ to sign a pre-contract agreement with a foreign club
According to The Athletic (Subscription Required), Manchester United star Paul Pogba is unlikely to sign a pre-contract agreement with a foreign club when the opportunity arrives in the January transfer window. This is thanks to the positive perspective he has about the new interim manager Ralf Rangnick.
Paul Pogba‘s contract is expected to end in June. There has been massive speculation surrounding the future of the French superstar, and previous reports suggested that he is more out than in. But it seems, despite becoming eligible to talk with foreign teams from January, Pogba won’t be looking to sign such a pre-contract agreement with a foreign club.
The main reason for such a desire from the world cup champion would be the arrival of Ralf Rangnick, a.k.a ‘professor.’ The 28-year-old player has received some excellent feedback about the German manager and would be enthusiastic about playing under him.
Out injured, Pogba is currently engaged in the rehabilitation process in Dubai. However, it is believed that after his return to the Man United squad, he would be more likely to be focused on playing football rather than finding a new club.
This could be a promising opportunity for the Red Devils to utilise Pogba’s abilities for essential matches in the latter part of the season. Whether it will also see him pledge his loyalty to the Old Trafford outfit remains to be seen.
Even though Pogba has been experiencing a fall in performance at United in recent times, he remains one of the brightest midfield prospects of this generation. This season he has already picked up seven assists in nine Premier League games makes him the 2nd highest assist provider after Mohamed Salah.
The Former Juventus player time and again proved his class in various competitions. Undoubtedly, he has become a senior player in the United dressing room. Furthermore, he has the quality to decide the course of a game individually.

Man United are aware of the immense quality he possesses. That is why they paid a hefty sum to bring him back from Italy in 2016. It’d be a shame to lose such a player to a European opponent, especially for free.
