Manchester Unitedwill decide on a January transfer for Dean Henderson by the end of November
According to the Manchester Evening News, Manchester United are expected to make a decision about the future of Dean Henderson by the end of November ahead of a potential January exit.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had informed the shot-stopper that he would be starting the Premier League games this season. David de Gea was to feature in the Champions League group stage games, with Tom Heaton as the third-choice keeper.
However, fate was unkind to Henderson as he contracted Covid-19 a month before the start of the season. It took him nearly a month or so to get back to full match fitness. He started in the defeat to West Ham in the EFL Cup and looked slightly off the paces.
The 24-year-old eventually made the Premier League matchday squad in the draw to Everton. He was on the bench that day and has been there ever since. De Gea has been a match-saver for the club this season, courtesy of which Solskjaer cannot drop him.
The young shot-stopper is eyeing an exit as he wants to feature for England at the 2022 World Cup. Sam Johnstone and Aaron Ramsdale are up the pecking order currently, and the United ace would want to throw his name in the hat too.
He is open to leaving on a six-month or 18-month loan, but the Red Devils must sanction the same. The Old Trafford outfit would get a far more confident keeper if they allow him to leave in January.

Alternatively, if De Gea gets injured, it could derail their season massively. There are two sides to the coin, and Solskjaer is expected to make a decision by the end of November.
Regardless, it would be an unwise decision to let the goalkeeper leave mid-season unless they sign a replacement in January. But with the World Cup coming up next summer, it remains to be seen just how Henderson will react to having to stay on as the second choice.
