Speaking in the pre-match press conference (h/t Manchester United official website), Manchester United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has weighed in on the packed fixture list while vowing to use the whole squad to see it through.

The Red Devils will face Watford today in the Premier League as the team look to put behind the poor run of results before the break. Despite the reversals, the club sits in sixth place, with just five points off the top four positions.

However, a challenging set of matches follow today’s game at Vicarage Road. Solskjaer’s side will have to deal with Villarreal, Chelsea and Arsenal in succession in the coming weeks. While the games following these are “easier”, they will test the quality and depth of the squad due to how the congested nature.

With 11 matches to be played till the end of December, Ole will need to use the fringe players to keep the squad fresh. This is especially the case with the injury concerns that are plaguing the team currently. However, with the winter transfer window closing in on us, some of them could leave to try their chances elsewhere.

The board need to be ready to deal with such challenges with proper plans in place to revitalize the first team.
