Usain Bolt reveals he wanted Antonio Conte to manage Manchester United amidst calls to sack Ole Gunnar Solskjaer
Speaking to The National (h/t Manchester Evening News), Usain Bolt revealed that he wanted Antonio Conte to take over at Manchester United amidst calls to sack Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
There is nothing right about what is currently happening at Old Trafford. The manager is out of his depth, and the squad is slightly imbalanced. Formations have been changed, but the performances have remained the same.
The results against Liverpool and Man City would have hit the board hard, and Solskjaer could be facing the sack. However, the question remains regarding the next in line to the managerial throne.
Olympic legend Usain Bolt, who is a big fan of the Red Devils, has revealed that he wanted Antonio Conte to take over things. Bolt told The National (h/t Manchester Evening News):
“I wanted Conte. He is going to do so well at Spurs. He has been at Chelsea – he won a title. He’s been at Inter Milan – he’s won a title. He’s been at Juve – he’s won a title.
“Everywhere he goes, he structures the team so well. In January, he is probably going to get one or two players, then at the end of the season, he is probably going to find proper players and bring them in.”

The Italian joined Tottenham this month and replaced Nuno Espirito Santo. He has an excellent track record of winning wherever he goes, not to mention his experience in the Premier League.
One of the biggest issues of Solskjaer’s reign has been the lack of trophies. Moreover, United have not won major silverware since 2017. Thus, Conte would have been a great choice, but the club cannot dwell on something that cannot happen anymore. The Norwegian remains in charge for the while, but his days could be numbered.
