Manchester United players return to training ahead of crucial Watford game on the weekend

According to the Daily Mail, several Manchester United players returned to training ahead of their game against Watford on Saturday night.

The mood around the camp has been glum, and the dire results are a clear reason for it. It was surprising when Ole Gunnar Solskjaer handed out a week off to the players after losing to Man City in the derby.

The Norwegian caught a flight with his family back to his home country, where perhaps few would judge him. However, he admitted after the City game, that the break may have come at a ‘good time.’

But it is time to return, and the Red Devils are set to face the Hornets on the weekend. Several stars arrived at Carrington for resuming training, albeit a fair few of them were fringe players.

Donny van de Beek return to Carrington as he was not called up by the Dutch national team. Alex Telles and Dean Henderson also drove into the complex. Both players have suffered for minutes and are yet to start a league game this season.

Raphael Varane was already present as he was working towards his recovery from his hamstring injury. Scott McTominay arrived after suffering a throat virus while on duty with Scotland.

Marcus Rashford was also due to train after he withdrew from the England squad for this month’s World Cup qualifiers. His national compatriot, Luke Shaw, has not travelled to San Marino for the last qualifier of this calendar year.

Solskjaer might also have been present at Carrington, but there is no certainty over it. Several first-team stars shall now return after their final games this week as United prep to get back to winning ways.
