The Glazers consult Cristiano Ronaldo over hiring Zinedine Zidane as the next Manchester United manager
According to the Bleacher Report’s Rob Blanchette (h/t The Express), The Glazers are consulting Cristiano Ronaldo over the appointment of Zinedine Zidane at Manchester United.
There is a dark cloud over the red half of Manchester and solutions need to be plotted. For all of the good work put in by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer over the last three years, he may not be the man to drive the club back to their glory years.
He has stabilised the club, brought in sensational players, but it might be time to go. United have been humiliated by their arch-rivals, and perhaps that cannot go unnoticed. Changes have to be made, and it looks like The Glazers have smelt the coffee now.
Solskjaer is hanging on to his job because of the lack of a viable replacement. But it looks like the Red Devils are set to target a manager currently out of work– Zinedine Zidane.
The Frenchman left Los Blancos this summer and is thought to be holding out for the France job. But that has not kept the Old Trafford outfit from taking a run at him. And is claimed that there is still every chance that he signs for United.
In fact, The Glazers are now consulting Cristiano Ronaldo over the appointment of his former manager. Zidane and Ronaldo were key to the three successive Champions League trophies Real Madrid lifted between 2016-2018.

Moreover, the Portuguese star has previously stated that the key to their success together was the dressing room environment the 49-year-old maintained at the Spanish capital. The former French international excelled in man-managing stars, and perhaps that is the job at hand at Old Trafford.
Ronaldo would be sure to give a glowing recommendation, but it remains to be seen whether that is all the convincing Zidane needs to take over from Solskjaer at the theatre of dreams.
