Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers house-hunting amid links to becoming the replacement of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Manchester United
According to The Sun, Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers is house hunting in Cheshire amidst links to becoming the replacement to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Manchester United.
The Old Trafford outfit has undergone a tumultuous start to the season. In fact, they have only won 1 game out of their last 6 league matches. They were knocked out of the Carabao Cup in September but remains masters of their faith in the Champions League.
However, the telling blow over the past month would have been defeats to Liverpool and Man City. Senior players are also believed to be in favour of the 48-year-old leaving the club. There was also an emergency meeting called after the Reds thrashed United last month to discuss the future of Solskjaer.
Rodgers has been identified by the club as a ‘top choice‘ to replace Solskjaer. And those links have now been intensified after it was revealed that the Northern Irishman is looking for a new house.
The former Liverpool and Celtic manager is eyeing a home in the areas of Wilmslow and Alderley Edge. It is thought that Rodgers shall take over at the hot seat at Old Trafford before Christmas, and a new house might be the indication of just that.
However, he shall have to make do with the current squad. This is because the club is not ready to sanction a massive transfer budget in January.

United have shelled out £400million in the last three years under the management of Solskjaer, but the squad is well stacked in all honesty. Antonio Conte and Zinedine Zidane were also touted as options but wanted a £250million budget over the next two windows.
The Red Devils do not want to open their pockets again, and given Rodgers’ experience in the league, he could be the right man to replace Solskjaer and bring the glory days back to the theatre of dreams. How hiring an ex-Liverpool manager goes down with the fans remains to be seen, however.
