Real Madrid have joined the race to sign Manchester United transfer target Kingsley Coman
According to Defensa Central via The Hard Tackle (h/t Bavarian Football Works), Real Madrid have joined the fray for Manchester United target and Bayern Munich forward Kingsley Coman.
The 25-year-old has been grabbing eyeballs across Europe with stellar performances week in, week out for Die Roten. Coman made his way through the Paris Saint-Germain Academy and enjoyed a short spell at Juventus. The exciting forward was then picked up by Bayern Munich where he has continued to scale new heights.
It is believed that Real Madrid have submitted a bid of €35 million to secure the services of the Bundesliga star. Other clubs like FC Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, Liverpool, Manchester City, and Manchester United have also been linked to the attacker.
The Former PSG player has played 211 games for Munich during which time he has scored 43 goals and provided 51 assists across all competitions. A young mercurial prospect could hopefully put some sting into what has become a majorly spineless attack at Old Trafford.
Despite an impressive roster of world-class attackers like Cristiano Ronaldo, Jadon Sancho, Edinson Cavani, Mason Greenwood the Red Devils have struggled to tear open the bigger teams. This combined with a backline that is as porous as a sieve, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has much to work out.
In a report by The Sun in late June this year, it was stated that Coman’s father and agent were pushing for a move to the Old Trafford outfit. At that point in time, the French forward was seen as a cheaper alternative to Sancho but the addition of the 21-year-old English International may have changed the dynamics slightly.
The Red Devils are struggling to maintain their consistency this season and serious questions have to be attacked of their wingers. They have put on a lethargic and appalling display against the bigger clubs at times which has prompted the supporters and several pundits to criticise the Norwegian manager from time to time. The lack of silverware is another thorn in the side of the 48-year-old manager.

With all the reinforcements and competition it may be unlikely that we see Coman at Old Trafford. That being said something needs to change rapidly within this Manchester United squad if they are to start competing at the top level again.
