Ralf Rangnick ready to become the replacement to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Manchester United
According to BILD (h/t The Express), former RB Leipzig boss Ralf Rangnick is open to becoming the replacement to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Manchester United.
The Red Devils produced yet another poor performance against one of their bitter rivals on Saturday as Man City were always playing a level above their rivals. The gulf in class was clear from the get-go, and the result did not paint a pretty picture for the future of Solskjaer.
The Norwegian was expected to compete for trophies this season, especially after signing mammoth stars like Cristiano Ronaldo, Raphael Varane, and Jadon Sancho. Defeats to Leicester City and Liverpool should have been the wake-up call and had City shipped in another 2 or three goals, the boos at Old Trafford would have been much louder.
However, the international break could give a chance for the United stars to regroup and refresh. The same cannot be said for their Norwegian gaffer, whose future is likely to be on thin ice post the derby defeat.
If they do indeed decide to sack the 48-year-old, it is believed that Ralf Rangnick is ready to take over the helm. The German manager has previous experience at Hoffenheim and RB Leipzig, where he managed several young stars and developed them into world-beaters.
In the last couple of years, Rangnick has been the global sporting director of the Red Bull Group before becoming the managing director at Russian outfit Lokomotiv Moscow earlier this summer. It is also said that he was open to joining the Old Trafford outfit previously and is still willing to take over the reins at the Manchester-based club.

There are few better tacticians and technicians in the game than the 63-year-old, and his 34 years of managerial experience in the game could certainly come in handy, especially to manage a club like United mid-season.
The Red Devils have always liked a manager that maintains a good image of the club and has good relations with the players. The German could add a lot of positivity around the camp while he could also put his footprint on this budding United side, which could certainly thrive under the right manager.
