Manchester United insiders concerned over the performances of Aaron wan-Bissaka, Harry Maguire, and Luke Shaw
According to The Athletic (Subscription Required) [h/t The Express], Manchester United insiders are worried over the performances of Harry Maguire, Luke Shaw and Aaron wan-Bissaka.
Things are certainly not right at Old Trafford as their capitulation against Liverpool on the weekend might just be a sign of bad things to come. The attack was less than helpful in the defensive phase of the game, but the frontline has often dug Ole Gunnar Solskjaer out of tricky situations.
The problem currently is said to be the defence, which has shipped 11 goals in the last three games. Mohamed Salah had a field day on Sunday while Jamie Vardy also enjoyed tormenting United’s backline in the first game after the international break this month.
In fact, there are concerns related to specific players now. Aaron wan-Bissaka, in particular, is a worry given that his attacking output is little to none. Although the Englishman is one of the best in the game during 1v1 duels, he is failing to provide the same efforts in the attacking phase of the game.
His fellow countrymen Maguire and Shaw are the other two players in question. The former still has the excuse of returning from injury recently and trying to cope with it, but Shaw has little to no excuses for his shoddy defensive performances.
It is also thought that the duo has eased off slightly since returning from England’s inspiring European Championship performance in the summer.

Thus, the problems at the back are dire, and Raphael Varane’s injury has not done the club or Solskjaer any favours.
Nevertheless, the gaffer is often responsible along with his coaching staff to resolve these issues, and it will now be down to them to get their star-studded backline firing on all cylinders again.
