Cristiano Ronaldo has made his intentions regarding game-time clear to Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

Speaking to The Sun, a Manchester United source has revealed that Cristiano Ronaldo has Ole Gunnar Solskjaer that he wants to feature in every single game.

The Portuguese international has delivered for the Old Trafford outfit since he made his ‘second debut’ for the club against Newcastle United in mid-September. 5 goals in just as many starts, and it feels like he never left the theatre of dreams. However, the forward was on the bench against Everton in the game before the international break.

This certainly did not go down well with the 36-year-old as he cut a frustrated figure while walking down the tunnel after Everton held them to a draw. In fact, Ronaldo was also said to be miffed that he was left out for the EFL Cup tie against West Ham last month, a competition they are no longer in as they lost the game.

The former Juventus man has now informed his Norwegian boss that he wants to feature in every game. A United source told The Sun:

“Ronaldo was extremely disappointed for being benched (against Everton). Ole presumed that he was tired after the Villarreal game, so he decided to only put him on early in the second half.

“But Cristiano told him that he will tell him when he isn’t fit to play and that he wants to play in every single league game. He also told him that he has come here to win trophies and that United need to play their most important players in all of the games.”

Solskjaer has already informed the centre-forward that he was merely looking out for his well-being, and understandably so as Ronaldo’s energy could be used for the clutch games.

It has also been said that there has been no bust-up or falling out over the situation. In fact, the 48-year-old also recently claimed that his superstar forward ‘cannot play every game’. Thus, while the alarm bells are not ringing yet, the results will have to improve soon if Solskjaer hopes to keep up with the title-chasing pack.
