PSG set to hand Manchester United blow in the race to sign AC Milan ace Franck Kessie
According to Tuttomercato Web (h/t The Express), Paris Saint-Germain are readying a move for AC Milan ace Franck Kessie amidst interest from Manchester United.
The 24-year-old Serie A star has entered the final year of his current deal at San Siro and could make a move out of Italy next summer. The Italian club would be sick to their stomach of losing their best stars on free transfers after they also failed to generate a financial return on the sale of Gianluigi Donnarumma.
The Italian goalkeeper joined PSG this summer on a free deal. However, it seems like the Parisians are also keen on a deal for Kessie now as they look to add quality in their midfield line.
The French giants are said to be ready to offer the Ivorian a salary of €12million, including bonuses, which would be two times the figure (€6million) AC Milan have offered the midfielder to stay at the club. While it remains to be seen what decision is made by the former Atalanta man, this would be a blow for United.
The Red Devils are said to have eyed the 24-year-old as a replacement for Paul Pogba, given the uncertain future of the Frenchman. Like Kessie, Pogba too is in the final year of his deal and is yet to sign an extension amidst interest from PSG, Juventus, and Real Madrid.
Thus, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer & co have been monitoring the Ivorian, and given his age profile, the midfielder could turn out to be a mainstay at Old Trafford for several years.

If the player fails to sign an extension with the San Siro outfit by January, foreign clubs could either negotiate a pre-contract agreement with him or sign him on a knock-down price in the winter transfer window itself.
However, United, like PSG, have a lot of financial might, and could still stand a chance to lure the Milan man to Manchester next summer.
