Manchester United ace Amad Diallo might not feature for the club until October

According to an interview done with the official website of Manchester United (h/t Sports Mole) Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has provided an update on the fitness of Amad Diallo.

The 19-year-old, who signed from Atalanta in a move worth £37.2million in January, was set to be sent out on loan this season. Although several clubs were interested in making a move for the youngster, a transfer to Dutch club Feyenoord was in the works until the Ivorian suffered a thigh injury.

Thus, Diallo could not complete a loan move away from the club and remained at the Old Trafford outfit this summer. Solskjaer has now provided an update on the youngster’s fitness, hinting that it could take a month more before the winger gets back into action.

He told the official website of Manchester United (h/t Sports Mole):

“Still injured, still out for about a month. So maybe after the next international break, he (Diallo) will be available for us which is great for us. It was bad timing for him to get that injury, but he’s working really hard, and the kid is going to be a good one.”

The Ivorian made 8 senior appearances last season and was also crucial in the club’s road to the Europa League final as he contributed by scoring in the club’s 1-1 draw against AC Milan in the Round of 16.
