Sky Sports, BT Sport take decision over televising second Cristiano Ronaldo debut for Manchester United
According to Manchester Evening News, BT Sport and Sky Sports have taken the decision against appealing to broadcast Cristiano Ronaldo’s second Manchester United debut live in the UK.
The match will be on BBC Radio5Live as they have decided to swap this game with Leicester City’s match against Manchester City.
Sky will, however, show the match in full at 08:30 PM GMT on Saturday, 11th September 2021, as part of their Match of the Day programme. BT Sport have also refused to request a change in broadcasting schedules.
Man United take on the Magpies at Old Trafford in their first game after the current international break. It is not confirmed if Ronald will play in the game against Newcastle, to begin with.
Ronaldo to feature vs Newcastle?
The Man United superstar signed this summer from Juventus, ensuring a return to Old Trafford 12 years after he left for Real Madrid in 2009. He was also in form for Portugal during their FIFA World Cup qualifiers game against Ireland.
Cristiano Ronaldo scored two late goals to help the Portuguese team win the game 2-1, and broke Ali Daei’s long-standing record for most international goals scored by a player. He now stands at 111 goals for Portugal.
