Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer fears Chelsea more than rival Premier League duo
According to The Sun (h/t Metro), Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer privately views Chelsea as his biggest Premier League title rival, even more than Man City and Liverpool.
Chelsea have made a significant addition to their team in Romelu Lukaku this summer. The Blues have also retained the core of the team that won the UEFA Champions League against Manchester City earlier this year.
Moreover, they have looked like a tough to team to beat. Even this season, they had a perfect start until an unfortunate 1-1 draw against Liverpool where they had to play the second half with just 10 men.
Despite having Reece James sent off, the Blues kept a second-half clean sheet and made sure that they did not lose at Anfield. More than a point earned, it was a statement made that they will not be beaten easily.
Ole should fear no one
Manchester City, on the other hand, lost Sergio Aguero in the summer to FC Barcelona. They only have Gabriel Jesus as a recognized number 9, but their strength in midfield and the wings makes them a potent threat.
Liverpool, as ever, are a tough team to beat over the season under Jurgen Klopp. But despite signing Ibrahima Konate, the Reds did not sign another first-team player this summer and looked a bit stale against the Blues in their last game.
While there is a good reason to fear all the three teams, United should know that they are no longer the underdogs. The signings of Jadon Sancho, Raphael Varane, and five-time Ballon d’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo makes them a very strong team on paper.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer should have his eye on the prize and fear no one. There are still 35 games left in the season but if United players keep fit and are consistent over the next eight and a half months, there is no reason why they can’t win the trophy.
