Transfer News: Manchester United will only consider permanent sale for Diogo Dalot

According to transfer news from CaughtOffside, Manchester United are only planning on a permanent sale for Diogo Dalot. There is definitely interest in the youngster but United are not keen on another loan deal unless there is an obligation to buy.

Diogo Dalot is coming into this season on the back of a good one last time. He was allowed to leave for AC Milan and impressed on loan there, playing on both flanks. His exploits were enough to hand him a spot in the Portugal side for the Euros as an emergency option ahead of more experienced heads.

The right-back even featured during the preseason, scoring the final goal against Everton in a friendly. However, as United started the season, it was clear that Aaron Wan-Bissaka would be continuing in his position and Dalot is yet to feature after two games. Questions have again been asked of his future.

United have made it clear on their part. They will only entertain a permanent offer for Dalot. Loan deals will only be accepted if there is an obligation to buy. Clubs such as Borussia Dortmund have shown interest but it’s still at the early stages. For now, United are prepared to wait on their stance.

It’s rather easy to see that United want Dalot off their books and not just temporarily. With time running out, it’s hard to see a club come after him now. At the end of it, United might just have to keep him in the side and probably use him as a backup to Wan-Bissaka.
