Transfer News: Manchester United to make one last attempt for Kieran Trippier
According to transfer news from TEAMtalk, Manchester United will make one last push for Kieran Trippier. United are hoping that Borussia Dortmund will take Diogo Dalot off their hands and that will allow them to make a final push for Tripper.
In all likelihood, United are done with their transfers for the summer. They have spent massive amounts on deals for Jadon Sancho, Raphael Varane and finally Cristiano Ronaldo. Major areas of the squad have been bolstered and squad depth looks the best it has in recent years. However, within the next few days, one more deal could be squeezed through.
United have been after Kieran Trippier through most of the summer but Atletico Madrid have maintained that the release clause is paid in full. That has been too much to pay but United have something in the works. Firstly, they are trying to offload Diogo Dalot to Borussia Dortmund and United are looking for a permanent deal for him.
If that happens, United are likely to make one final attempt to get the former Tottenham man. There is another encouraging bit with Atletico looking to bring in a new right-back pointing to a possible departure of Trippier.

For now, things are not in a developed state and it is very complicated. Any deal for Trippier will hinge on the permanent sale of Dalot. Pulling off all that within the next three days looks extremely unlikely. Not a lot can be done here apart from just waiting.
