Manchester United are eager on a move for Eduardo Camavinga
According to an interview done by Duncan Castles on Reach PLC’s Transfer Window Podcast (h/t The Express), Manchester United have ‘accelerated’ their interest in Eduardo Camavinga over the last week.
The Red Devils, who have completed the signings of Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund and Raphael Varane from Real Madrid, could be aiming to add to their midfield line this summer.
The Old Trafford outfit have been linked with the likes of Saul Niguez, Eduardo Camavinga and Aurelien Tchouameni this summer. Transfer expert Duncan Castles explained where the club stands on a move for each of those players.
Castles told Reach PLC’s Transfer Window Podcast (h/t The Express):
“United are looking at other individuals [to Saul]. I’m told that they have accelerated their interest in Eduardo Camavinga over the last week.
“As we told you a couple of weeks ago, they have had contact with Aurelien Tchouameni’s representatives at AS Monaco to find out what it would cost to bring him there.”
Thus, from the looks of it, the Red Devils may not be completing a move for Saul. However, a move for Eduardo Camavinga does look on the cards. The 18-year-old could provide a more youthful approach to the club’s midfield line, which currently only possess two players under the age of 25 in Scott McTominay and Donny van de Beek.

Moreover, with Nemanja Matic’s contract set to expire in 2023, Camavinga could also prove to be a pivotal asset for the club in the future. However, signing him might not be as simple as Paris Saint Germain are also interested in signing the Frenchman this summer.
Rennes are ready to cash in on the 18-year-old, who is in the final year of his contract. However, it remains to be seen whether the Red Devils will make a formal offer for Camavinga before the transfer window closes on the 31st of August.
