Amad Diallo is set to leave Manchester United on a loan move

According to a tweet put out by Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Amad Diallo is expected to depart Manchester United this summer on a loan move.

While that is the case, Diallo has certain conditions regarding his loan move. The Ivorian is set to be wanting a move to a Premier League club instead of a Championship club or a move to a foreign country.

Fabrizio Romano explained Diallo’s situation in a little more detail. He wrote:

“Amad Diallo is still expected to leave Man United on loan. Crystal Palace asked for him – also Sheffield United but Diallo only wants Premier League clubs”.

Romano also wrote that Crystal Palace are not the only club interested in the player.

“Not only #CPFC asking for Amad. Many clubs and final decision hasn’t been made yet”.

Thus, the 19-year-old is seeking a move to a club in the English top flight this summer. Diallo joined United from Italian club Atalanta earlier this year in January in a move which was worth £37.2million.

The Ivorian, however, only managed 8 senior appearances across all competitons. Yet, the starlet did manage to make valuable contributions to the team. The 19-year-old was selected in the club’s 1st leg against AC Milan in the Round of 16 tie of the Europa League and managed to score his debut goal that day as he helped United to a draw.

However, given that United have signed Jadon Sancho this summer, Diallo could suffer for minutes this season.

The 19-year-old could certainly benefit from some consistent game-time at a Premier League club and if he does manage to get an entire league season under his belt, it could do a world of good to his chances of being included in the United squad next summer.
