James Garner has agreed a new deal with Manchester United
According to Football Insider, James Garner has signed a new four-year contract with Manchester United.
The young Englishman is set to go out on loan this season to gain more first-team experience, however, the Red Devils wanted the player to sign a new deal before he departed on loan.
Moreover, this was a hugely important deal as the 20-year-old had previously refused the first offer on the table, which in turn, created a lot of speculation about his future. However, the starlet has now put pen to paper in a contract that will keep him committed to the club until 2025.
In the case of a loan move, Nottingham Forest, Sheffield United, and Stoke City have been interested in procuring the player’s services this summer. Their interest is completely justified given that Garner was terrific on loan last season.
The Englishman started the season with Watford but changed clubs in January and joined Nottingham Forest. The 20-year-old managed to score 4 goals under Chris Hughton, who is now keen on having the player back this season.
Forest are frontrunners in the deal to sign the youngster and are hoping to wrap up his signing by the weekend as they hope to have him in the squad for their Carabao Cup tie against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Tuesday.

Garner featured in every pre-season game for United this season while first-team star Bruno Fernandes was also in awe of the player as he told United’s official website (h/t Football Insider) earlier this summer that he liked the way the midfielder shoots the and his ‘aggressive’ style of play.
The 20-year-old will really benefit from playing consistently for a Championship side and if the midfielder does impress, he could have a future at Old Trafford next summer.
