Manchester United are not done yet with their summer transfer business
According to an interview of journalist Fabrizio Romano on the YouTube channel of the United Stand (h/t Express), Manchester United could still sign two more players this summer.
The Red Devils, who have completed the signing of long-term target Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund and Raphael Varane from Real Madrid, could still be in the market for two more players, depending upon the future of their existing lot.
The Old Trafford outfit are still keen on signing a central midfielder while they are also eager to provide some competition to Aaron Wan-Bissaka in the right-back slot. However, additions in both of these areas would depend upon some of their outgoings.
United had 26 players above the age of 21 on January 1, courtesy of which one player would be cut from Solskjaer’s 25-man Premier League squad, while it is also said that more players could be cut if there are more arrivals.
Paul Pogba has been linked with a move away from the club this summer, especially after he refused a contract extension at the club. However, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer might not be too keen on letting the 28-year-old leave the club this season after the player’s incredible performance in their season opener against Leeds United as Pogba assisted four of United’s five goals.
He could, however, leave on a free transfer next summer with PSG and Real Madrid interested in the Frenchman.

Jesse Lingard could also leave the club this summer, with the player linked to a move to West Ham United this summer. Diogo Dalot, who is currently the backup player to Wan-Bissaka, has also been linked with a move to AC Milan, while Kieran Trippier has been on United’s radar for that role this summer.
However, it remains to be seen whether United would actually sign more players this summer, especially since there are only two weeks left until the end of the transfer window.
